Donald Rozga Obituary
Donald C. Rozga, 79, of Sheffield Lake, died September 22, 2021. He was born May 1, 1942 in Elyria, raised in Grafton, and moved to Sheffield Lake in 1973. He was a 1960 graduate of Midview High School and attended Ohio State University, Ohio School of Broadcasting, and various American Foundry Society Schools. He retired as supervisor from Larson Consolidated after 17 years in 1979 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. Donald served as 1st Ward Sheffield Lake Councilman, on various committees and was active in county politics. He was a Charter Member of the Lorain Community Hospital Brain Injury Support Group and a member of the Ohio Brain Injury Support Group. He also served as a Board of Directors for the American Foundry Society, as well as Membership Chairman. Donald is survived by children, Heidi Rozga of Pace, Florida, Kristen Rozga of Lorain and Erik Rozga of Sheffield Lake; grandchildren, Megan (James) Roser and Addison Adkins and sisters, Carol Chinn of San Jose, California and Pat Elek of Powell, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peg Rozga (nee Karbowniczek) in 2007 and his parents, Chester and Cecilia (nee Zaleski) Rozga. A memorial mass will be announced at a later date.
