Donald G. St. PeterDonald G. St. Peter, 75, of Elyria Township, died, February 10, 2018 at O’Neil Healthcare, North Ridgeville, after a twenty year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Donald was a 1961 graduate of Elyria High School. He joined the US Navy and spent two years on the destroyer, USS Vesole as an enginemen. After serving his country he was employed for twenty seven years at Lorain Ford Motor Company until he was forced to retire do to MS. In the years prior to his illness he was a “Jack of all trades”, being able to fix about anything. In his spare time he loved woodworking, watching old westerns, as well as sports, including his favorite team, The Cleveland Indians.Donald leaves behind his wife, Nancy of fifty one years; sons, Donald L. (Brooke) of Lorain, Charles (Christine) of Elyria; daughter, Sherry of Elyria; brother, Ronald (Ann) of Penfield; sister, Kathy Ward of Summerville, South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Valloyd and Emma and his brother-in-law, Stephen Ward.Friends will be received Friday February 16, 2018 from 2:00 PM until the time of a 5:00 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Beth McKee will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain 44053.
