Donetta P. Young (nee Murdock), 76, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly February 9, 2022 in her home. She was born January 13, 1946 in Clendenin, WV and was formerly employed at The Abbewood. She enjoyed attending garage sales and flea markets and spending quality time with her family. Donetta is survived by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth O; son, Kenneth E.; daughter, Lisa (Ken) McCallister; grandchildren, Ashley (Jessie) Markel, Erica (Tyler) Powell and Heather and Katelynn Young and a very special sister, Sandy Kinter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayward and Clova (nee Hayes) Murdock; sisters, June Mullins and Ruby Jean Cantrell and brothers, Chilton, Basil, Maynard, Morten, George and Randy Murdock. Friends will be received Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 3-5 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
