Donna Lakis Obituary
Donna R. Lakis (nee Adams), 89, of Elyria, died November 5, 2019 at White Orchid Adult Care Home in Avon Lake. She was born January 14, 1930 in Marion, Ohio, had been a long-time resident of Elyria and a 1948 graduate of Elyria High School. Donna had been employed as a clerk in the catalog department for J.C. Penney Company at Elyria Midway Mall from where she retired. Her interests included gardening, knitting, crafts, playing cards, and traveling. Donna is survived by daughters, Barbara Kovach and Debbie (Dale) Diedrick, both of Elyria, and Catherine Lakis of Sheffield Lake; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Lakis, Jr. in 2007; parents, George and Hattie Adams; and a sister, Doris Taylor. Friends will be received Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
