Donovan Meinke Obituary
Donovan P. Meinke, 19, of Westlake, Ohio, much beloved son, grandson and brother, passed on from this Earth much too soon October 16th, 2022. He was born February 15, 2003, in Lorain, grew up in Elyria, and attended Westlake High School where he played varsity hockey. Donovan will be remembered by those whose lives he touched as a strong and independent man, a loyal friend, a loving sibling, a great cook, and someone who knew something about everything. He will be deeply and profoundly missed. Donovan is survived by his mother and step-father, Jillian (nee Burnett) and Rahi Kapur; father, Nolan P. Meinke; siblings, Taejah Jones, Braelon Burnett, Lauryn Gibson, Isaiah Burnett, Imani Kapur and Aadhya Kapur; grandparents Jeanne and Jeffrey Burnett, Jacqueline Meinke and Patricia and Rajan Kapur; and great grandmother Elaine Jones. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Michael Meinke and great-grandfather Douglas E. Jones. Friends will be received Monday, October 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of a 12:00 PM service at First United Methodist Church, 312 Third Street, Elyria with Reverends Gwendolyn and Richard Gilmore officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. There are no gallery images.
