Dorothy A. “Dotty” Acheson (nee McClelland), 91, of Elyria, died, August 16, 2019 at Life Care Center of Westlake. She was born June 3, 1928 in Hinckley, OH and was a 1946 graduate of Avon Lake High School. Prior to moving to Elyria she had been a resident of Avon and North Ridgeville. From 1974-1989 Dotty and her husband owned and operated Moss' Prime Rib and Spaghetti House Elyria. She had also been an avid bridge player. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lynn A. Acheson of Rochester, NY; son, Daniel R. Acheson AKA Shabad Khalsa of Portland, Oregon; grandsons, Christopher, Ryan and Brandon Acheson; five great grandchildren and a brother, Harry McClelland. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty eight years, Robert W. in 1998; parents, John and Jane McClelland; siblings Bill McClelland, Georgie Buckey, Mary Kennedy, Nellie McDermott and Netta Newport. All services will be private.
