She was my 3rd grade teacher at Erie school in the 70's. Her and Ms. Shado were my favorite elementary teachers. She was so elegant and classic in her approach to teaching. The girls would like up and stratch each other's back or play with each other's hair and she tolerated us while reading books to us. This was my favorite memory of a wonderful teacher! I thought of her often over the years. My deepest sympathy to her blessed family.
For 38 years we had the very best backyard neighbors anyone could ask for. We knew when Tom and Dorothy returned from Florida Dorothy had worked her magic on her beautiful garden every year. The many conversations at the fence over the years were always warm, fun and caring as she was always asking about our 3 kids and sharing stories about Tom, Donna and their grandchildren. We may have moved from the area but not from those memories..
Mrs. Duplessie was my teacher at Erie Elementary for 3rd & 4th grades. This was in 1971-1973. I still remember her reading Charlie & the Chocolate Factory to us and she was very animated in her story telling. When I read this story to my children, I tried to give the story the same effect. God Bless her and her family.
Dear Tom, Donna and family, I am sending condolences, hugs, and prayers for the loss of your mom. May each day bring comfort as you cherish her memories!!
Mrs. Duplessie was one of my favorite teachers. In the later part of the1960’s she was my second grade teacher at Spring Valley. I can still remember her attention, her love and her caring. I will never forget her.
Trey, sympathy in the loss of your grandma. Mrs. Torres, former E. Heights teacher
This wonderful woman was my grandmother whom we affectionately called Gram. She was the great match to my grandfather Thomas (Pip) and together they demonstrated so many family values that have impacted me for my lifetime. The gifts of kindness, presence, love, generosity, laughter, and the blessings that come from spending time with family.
Gram was a natural teacher and caretaker. She inspired and nurtured my creative talents to become a musician, artist and teacher as well during my life.
She was forever caring, deeply interested and offered a wealth of thoughtful encouragement to help foster my unique sense of being.
A young man couldnt have been blessed with a better grandmother, and Im grateful for her love and presence in my life.
She will forever be remembered in my memories as a teacher of the virtues of family, and I hope to one day create the inviting home environment that she and my grandfather opened within their hearts to me.
We love you and miss you, thank you for all of your love and caring, you are a wonderful woman, wife, mother and grandmother.
Sending you love from afar,
Your grandson Matthew
