Dorothy Zahars Obituary
Dorothy I. Zahars (nee Stevens), 96, of Elyria, died November 18, 2023. She was born November 6, 1927 in Cumberland, Ohio and has been a resident of Elyria since 1936. For many years, she worked with her husband, Harry at the Paradise Restaurant on East Broad Street in Elyria. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elyria and an affiliate of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Lorain.
Dorothy is survived by a niece, Karen Stevens of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Harry in 1992; brother, Richard Stevens in 1958 and sisters, Margaret Lester in 1978 and Jean Stevens in 1993.
A service will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria with Reverend Tennille Power of First United Methodist Church officiating.
