Mr Birch lived at the corner of my street. He was a wonderful Man. Our condolences to his family. We liked seeing him drive his caddy up and down cambridge.

Doug was indeed "an exceptionally gently man who cherished family and friends." I was always warmly welcomed into Bell and Doug's home during my frequent childhood visits. Your Dad was such a nice man and a great friend. We knew he and your Mom very well from the time we came back to Elyria in 1961 until we moved in'96. He and I talked about the Navy a lot. I have looked at an old photo album that Pt had and now Pam has that has a lot of pictures of your Dad and Pat when they were kids. Your grandfather was my Dad's best friend and the families spent a lot of time together. We will miss his Christmas cards. He will rest in peace with Belle.
