Edith Pappas' Obituary
Edith Pappas “Edie”, 94, of Elyria, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Edith worked at Discount Drug Mart in Elyria for several years, and after retirement she served as a hospital volunteer. She also enjoyed many activities, including collecting baskets, cooking and baking, shopping and gardening. Edith traveled extensively and loved boating and taking weekend trips with her family, as well as joining them on many beach vacations.
Edith is survived by daughter, Michaelene Reiser (Thomas, deceased); son, Steven (Lorel); grandchildren, Maria Wolfe, Mindy Miller, and Timothy, Daniel, Jayna and Steven Pappas; five great-grandchildren; a niece and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Michael; parents; sisters, Ruth Rinkes and Gladys Van Horne and great-grandson Jason Wolfe.
Edith’s family will celebrate her well-lived life privately.
