Edward C. Steffen, 86, died November 10, 2012 at his home in Sheffield Village.He was born August 9, 1926 in Cleveland and served as a Navy Seabee during WWII. He was employed in the rubber industry for over 50 years and most recently in sales and marketing at Industrial Electronic Rubber Company, Twinsburg, OH. Edward was instrumental in the formation of The Ambassador Program at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and was a volunteer for New Life Hospice and Meals on Wheels.He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Grace C. (nee Yeske); father of Mark E. (Joan) Steffen of Leo, IN, Craig E. (Jacci) Steffen of N. Fort Myers, FL and Barbara J. Steffen of Middleburg Heights, OH; grandfather of Angela Allen and Amelia Steffen and brother of the late Lois Schultz.Friends will be received Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. memorial service at Evangelical First Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Ave., Lorain, OH. Inurnment will be in Hope Memorial Gardens, Hinckley, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donors choice. Arrangements by Dicken Funeral Home, Elyria, OH.
