Edward Scott Bahmer, 43, formerly of Elyria, died November 26, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born December 26, 1967 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was a 1986 graduate of Elyria High School. He has been employed as a flight attendant for Florida Express, Braniff, Eastern, Northwest and Delta Airlines and was recently promoted to the position of a Delta field service manager at J.F.K. International Airport in New York.Ed is survived by his father Edward Frank Bahmer of Grafton; sister Amy Gillmore (Jeff) Scarbrough of Crown Point, Indiana; brother Sid Howard of Atlanta, GA; nephew Jonathan Scarbrough of Crown Point, Indiana; niece Amanda (Bruce) Rinkenberger of Wheatfield, Indiana; and a great nephew Nathan Rinkenberger.He was preceded in death by his mother Gail Suppes Bahmer (nee Gillmore) in 2005.Friends will be received Friday, December 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 330 Second St., Elyria with Reverend Christina Kukuk officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League of Lorain County, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH 44035 or charity of donors choice.
