Eileen Jean Gebhardt, 69, died May 22, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona . Eileen was born September 20, 1945 in Elyria, Ohio, where she was a 1963 graduate of Elyria High School and attended Kent State University. She was employed for 36 years as a customer service agent with American Airlines, retiring in 2006 from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. She had also worked in Cleveland, OH; Los Angeles, CA; Harlingen and Dallas, TX. She was devoted in her job and delighted the crews, her colleagues and passengers. After retiring, she served as a Navigator at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Eileen was faithful in the care of her parents and as an employee of American Airlines, was able to include her parents on many exciting trips during their retirement years.Eileen was a member of Christ Church-Lutheran in Phoenix and the Altar Guild of the church and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria. She was passionate in her love of music and sang in the choirs of both churches. Eileen is survived by her mother, Jean Gebhardt, brothers: William Gebhardt (Nena), Jack Strauss (Connie), Timothy Gebhardt (Sharon), Sisters: Phyllis Gebhardt and Gayle Gebhardt Turner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends in the Phoenix area, where she resided for the past 40 years. She was preceded in death by her father, William Gebhardt in 1988, and brother Robert Strauss in 2013.A memorial services will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Lutheran, 3901 Indian School Road Phoenix, AZ 85018-5236, officiated by Pastor Arnie Frank. A memorial service will also be Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, 9685 East River Road, Elyria 44035-8147, officiated by Rev. Robert Weldon. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church - Lutheran, Phoenix, Arizona or Grace Lutheran Church, Elyria, Ohio.
