Eleanor Babe Pietrzak (nee Lasure), 89, of Elyria, died May 30, 2019 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born June 22, 1929 in Folsom, WV and was a graduate of Folsom High School. Prior to moving to Elyria, she had lived in Clarksburg, WV, and Port St. Lucie, FL. Eleanor was formerly employed as an office manager, restaurant owner and manager working until the age of 79! She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Elyria and enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, history, traveling, spending time with her family and friends and was an Atlanta Braves fan.Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Sandra (David) Wagner; grandchildren, Angela (Paul) Minnillo, Janell (Lester) Armstrong, Tamara (Joe) Given, and Michael (Jennifer) Foreman; great-grandchildren, Casey, Mallory, Paige, Joseph, Reece, Addison, and Rebekah; and siblings Idres (Ernestine) Rexroad and Deloris Ensminger.She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pietrzak; daughter, Marsha Ormiston; parents, William Harvey and Alda (nee Bates) Lasure; siblings, Maxine Fleming, Donald Lasure, Allen Lasure, Alda “Toots” Lasure, Lula May Lasure, Ruby Lasure, Herman Lasure, and Ardell Lasure.Friends will be received Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of an 11:00 am Celebration of Life service at Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Road, Elyria with Pastor Rick Keesee officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053 or Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.Eleanor’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Mistry, Dr. Dhillon, Staff at Life Care Center of Elyria, and Midway Baptist Church for their compassion and care of Eleanor.
