Eleanor Hemminger Obituary
Eleanor G. Hemminger (nee: Sutila), 97, of Avon, Ohio, died November 30, 2015 at Safe Haven Elder Care Community of Avon Lake. She was born March 7, 1918 in Monessen, Pennsylvania and was raised in Lorain, Ohio. She moved to Avon with her husband and young son in 1952. For many years, she was a member of the Historical Society and Research Club in that community and also was active in charitable functions associated with the Avon United Methodist Church as well as other organizations. Eleanor graduated as an National Honor Society student from Lorain High School and maintained a strong passion for reading all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and brother, George. She is survived by hers sons Robert and Thomas and grandsons William and Robert. The Hemminger family wish to acknowledge the care and support given to Eleanor by Safe Haven Elder Care Community. Donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice Care Services
