Eleanor Louise Warden's Obituary
Eleanor Louise Warden, 89, of Elyria, died Thursday June 25, 2026 following a sudden illness. She was born June 21, 1937 in Elko, NV and was a 1955 graduate of Sequoia Union High School. For 32 years, she had been employed at Elyria Medical Center as a secretary in Central Services before retiring.
Known as G-Ma to her grandchildren, she had a generous heart and enjoyed giving back to her community. She participated in local parades with her children and grandchildren called the RRRT (Radical Rockin Remote Team). She sewed and created Air Bear, Bumper Bear, Cherish Bear for Cherish Portraits and Drag the Dragon for RRRT. Some of you may have photos with her as the Bear!! Louise was a choir director for the Vocalairs Christian Choir and was a talented church and choir pianist. She would teach children to play piano for fun. G-Ma volunteered with Angels in Disguise with her daughter, Kary and painted with her husband, John. She loved taking her children to the lake to watch the sunset. Louise enjoyed her backyard flower garden, especially her roses and lilies.
Louise is survived by her children; Michael (Marcia) Allen, Dennis (Sue) Allen, Karena “Kary” Louise (Bernie) Allen Santo Domingo, Daniel (Beverly) Allen, Elisabeth “Libby” Allen, Jonathon “Jackie” Allen and Marcus (Angela) Allen, Sr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sisters, Barb, Becky, Cindy and Cece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Warden; former husband, Jackie Lee Allen; son, Jamison Allen; father, Harry Wilbur Shultz and mother, Elisabeth (Franklin Rhys) Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday July 26, 2026 at Willow Park Pavilion B, 1151 Main Street, Grafton from noon until sunset. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Louise’s life.
