Elizabeth Betty Krek, 83, of Elyria and formerly of North Ridgeville, went home to be with the Lord and her husband of 65 years October 29, 2014 while surrounded by family.She was born August 20, 1931 in Cleveland, where she attended John Marshall High School. Betty was a dog breeder and groomer, enjoyed visiting her Amish friends and won several awards for her beautiful hand-made quilts. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great grandmother.Betty is survived by her children, Gayle (Craig) Hignett of Sheffield Village; Randy Krek of Vermilion and Pamela Jackson of Elyria; grandchildren Kristen, Brandon, Bergan, Adam, Clarissa and Justin; great grandchildren Morgan, Alaina, Kendall, Landon, Gavin, Logan, Everett and three more on the way.She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. in 2012.Family will receive friends Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 10 A.M. until the time of an 11:00 A.M. service at the Mausoleum of Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Pastor Bob Wickens of Church of the Open Door will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O.
