Emma E. Hatfield (nee Burke), 77, formerly of Elyria, died January 26, 2015 in Maybee, MI, where she has resided since 2009.She was born October 18, 1937 Red Jacket, WV and has lived most of her life in Elyria. She was a graduate of Matewan High School in Matewan, WV and for many years had been employed as a sales associate at Lowes Home Improvement in Elyria. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, was a longtime member of The Carlisle Grange and volunteer for Girl Scouts of America, an avid rock collector and Elvis Presley fan.Emma is survived by daughters Cathy McDaniel of Maybee, MI, Nan Krueger of Las Vegas, NV, Gerri (Randy) Bailey of Belpre, OH, Teresa (Eddie) Rush of Lorain, Jo Parker of South Bend, IN and Laurel (Matt) Teasdale of Monroe, WI; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother Dewey Burke of Guernsey, IL and a sister L. Ilene Rosseter of Las Vegas, NV.She was preceded in death by a sister Geri Ison; brothers Earl, Ralph, Ray, Herbert and Albert, Jr. and parents Albert and Mattie Burke.Friends will be received Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Friends will also be received Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 10 A.M. until the time of an 11:00 A.M. service in the funeral home.
