Eric Zaffer Obituary
Eric T. Zaffer, 45, of Brighton Township, died, August 4, 2015. He was born July 24, 1970 in Elyria and was a 1989 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and a 1993 graduate of Cleveland State University. Eric worked with his father in his online retail business www.ablackhorse.com. He enjoyed his home and caring for the horses stabled there. He was a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Other interests included race cars, music and fishing. Eric was a kind and loving person whose memory will be cherished by his family and friends.Eric is survived by his parents, Thomas and Carolyn Zaffer of Elyria; sister, Teresa (Gary) Walker of Fairview Park; niece, Alivia Walker; nephew, Tyler Walker and his grandmother, Rose Zaffer of Elyria. Additional survivors include uncles, John and William Zaffer and Harold Gilchrist; aunts, Patricia Gilchrist, Debra Frey and Kathleen Gilchrist; cousin, Christina Branham-Zaffer and other cousins.A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday August 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria. The Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
