Erma J. McNulty (nee: Chapler), 89, of Elyria Township passed away peacefully May 1, 2017 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born May 1, 1928 in Elyria where she was a life long resident. Erma was a homemaker and her life was centered around her family. She enjoyed family vacations, attending sporting events of her grandchildren, trips to casinos and spending time outdoors.Erma is survived by a daughter, Linda (Mike) Surdock of Carlisle Township; son, Jim (Beth) McNulty of Elyria; grandsons, Ryan (Dana) McNulty and Adam and Bret Surdock; granddaughter, Kaci Surdock and great granddaughters, Kendall and Teagan McNulty.She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty five years, James N. McNulty in 2010, son, Michael J. McNulty in 2016; parents, Frank and Agnes Chapler; two brothers and six sisters.Friends will be received Thursday May 4, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A service will be Friday May 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with The Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
