Ethel Ray Obituary
Ethel Thacker Ray, 101, of Elyria, died August 15, 2015. She was born November 28, 1913 in Millard, Kentucky and was baptized Old Regular Baptist in 1975. Before moving to Elyria, Ethel was a faithful member of her church, Little David, in Grundy, Virginia. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Ethel is survived by a son, Roger (Linda) Thacker of Elyria; daughter, Vivian Kinkade of Cumberland, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren and twenty four great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by husbands, Ulan Thacker and John Ray; her parents, Tom Castle and Josie Green; children, Charles Edsel, Johnnine, Josie Joyce and Ray Thacker; grandsons, Tony and Terry Kinkade; two brothers and two sisters.Friends will be received Monday August 17, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Tuesday August 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Reverend Kurby Perrigan officiating. Burial will be in Kendeig Corners Cemetery at the corner of Quarry and Middle Ridge Roads in Amherst Township.
