Etta Prescott Obituary
Etta L. Prescott (nee Gilmore), 82, of Elyria, died September 5, 2021 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born July 8, 1939 in Elyria and was a 1957 graduate of Elyria High School. From 1960 to 1970, she and her husband were owners and operators of Riverview Marina, now Copper Kettle in Lorain and for 29 years she was manager of Lorain County Postal Employees Credit Union in Elyria. Etta was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she had been a longtime choir member. Etta is survived by sons, Brad G. (Karen Cassel) and Adam (Kathryn) Prescott, both of San Francisco, CA and grandchildren, Adelyn, Graham and Beau Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, William K. Prescott in 2002; parents, Claude and Esther Gilmore and sisters, Rae Ann Smolko and Jean Naylor. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 12:00 pm noon at St. John Lutheran Church, 1140 West River Road North, Elyria with Reverend Bill Mugnolo officiating.
