Ted Mcirvine
In Rochester way back in 1972, Etta Ruth advised me on Public Relations and interaction with the press during our campaign to save and reform the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She was an active board member as we hired David Zinman as music director and Gideon Toeplitz as finance manager, and consequently stabilized the orchestra's governance and artistic quality. I will always be grateful for her many contributions and keen sense.
