Eugene Gedeon, Sr. Obituary
Eugene J. Gedeon, Sr. 100, passed away March 18, 2013 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. He was born October 18, 1912 in Cleveland and was a 1931 graduate of Fairview High School. He was employed in sales in the appliance department at J.C. Penney Company at Southland Shopping Center in Parma from where he retired. For sixteen years he was the coordinator of the Saturday Night Out music programs at Wesleyan Village. Gene was the beloved husband of the late Lillian; dear companion of Thelma Ryan; loving father of Eugene J. Gedeon, Jr. and Donna Tope (Samuel); dear brother of the late Emily Harvey and Ruth Roehm (James deceased); loving uncle of Penny and Jamie Roehm (Dan Fauver); dear grandfather of Brian Gedeon (deceased), Mathew (Meglrann) and Michael Tope (Kelly); great grandfather of Emmalynn Tope and uncle and friend to many. A memorial service will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Wesleyan Village, Cascade Hall, 807 West Ave, Elyria, OH, 44035, Reverend Beth McKee, Chaplin, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wesleyan Senior Living Foundation. Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria handled arrangements.
