Evelyn M. Tarry (nee: Miller)Evelyn M. Tarry (nee: Miller), 96, of Elyria, died, October 3, 2017 at Wesleyan Village. She was born July 27, 1921 in Willlard, Ohio and was a graduate of Willard High School. Evelyn received a degree as a registered nurse and was employed as a nurse at Higbee Company in Elyria. In the late 1950’s and early 1960’s she and her former husband, Jack Tarry had owned and operated Stoneys Rainbow Lanes in Elyria. She was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria.Evelyn is survived by a nephew, William R. Miller of Westerville, Ohio, niece, Susan Miller of Reading, Connecticut; great nephews, William B. Miller and Eric R. Miller; sister-in-law, Anna Miller; great great nieces, Sophia and Camila Miller. Also surviving are nephews, Matt (Nancy) McGuire and Mark T. (Donna) McGuire; great nephews, Mark and Dan McGuire; great niece, Cathy (Chris) Aviles and many great great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jimae (Larry) Robertson and Terry Fadel.She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Miller; mother, Thelma Schneider; step-father, Fred Schneider; brother, Roger Miller and a nephew, Mike McGuire.
