Florence Muller Obituary
Florence H. Muller (nee Bobel), 94, of Elyria, died August 1, 2021 after a illness of several years. Mom was born May 7, 1927 in Lorain. For many years, her family lived at 911 7th Court, Lorain and owned Bobel Brothers Dairy. Mom was a 1946 graduate of Lorain High School, attended college in Cleveland and was employed by Curtis Publishing Company, Cleveland. In addition, Florence attended Lorain County Community College where she was later employed. Florence was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Elyria, the church Alter Guild and sang in the choir. Mom was also a member of the League of Women Voters and Ladies Dental Auxiliary. Mom had been active with the Oberlin Art Museum, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, volunteered at the Lorain County Metro Parks and enjoyed singing and reading. Florence is survived by sons, Mark (Brenda) Muller of Westerville, James Muller of Elyria and Robert (Laura) Muller of Cleveland Heights; grandchildren, Allie (Rob) Nelson, Carly (Josh) Miller, Kurt (Melanie) Muller and Sophie and Christopher Muller; and great-grandchildren, Grant and Will Nelson and Maci and Gavin Miller. Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Dr. Eugene F. Muller in 1989; parents, John and Mary Bobel; brothers, Harold, Alan and John Bobel; and sisters, Marjorie Barber and Jeanette Lieber. A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 300 3rd Street, Elyria with Reverend June Hardy Dorsey, Rector, officiating.
