Floyd Gonzalez, Jr., 73, of Elyria, died November 24, 2022 in his home. He was born July 9, 1949 in Layland, WV and was a 1969 graduate of Elyria High School. For 45 years, Floyd was employed at Western Enterprises in Westlake and was a member of Elyria Eagles Aerie #431. Floyd was a fan of the Cleveland Guardians, Browns and Cavaliers and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Floyd is survived by his sister with whom he made his home, Dinah (Chuck) Moss of Elyria; brother, Keith (Marina) Gonzalez of Tucson, AZ; four nieces; one nephew; six great-nieces and four great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Floyd Gonzalez, Sr.; sister, Sandra Messenger and her husband, Robert; and a niece, Amber Rose Harju. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of a noon service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria with Reverend Robert Kistemaker officiating.
