Frances Coffin Obituary
Frances Dunkle Coffin, age 90, of Kendal at Oberlin, formerly of Bay Village and Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. Died September 8, 2012. Fran was employed from 1950-1959 at NASA Glenn Research Center, leaving NASA to raise a family. She later taught chemistry at Baldwin Wallace College and other local colleges. Fran was also a life-long Girl Scout. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Emadi (husband Mehrdad), Susan Coffin, Nancy Coffin (husband Omar Mohammad), and grandsons Kian, Sassan, Nizar, and Yazan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Putnam Coffin. Memorial service will be Saturday 2 p.m. at Kendal at Oberlin. The Rev. Dr. Brian K. Wilbert Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Oberlin will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 162 So. Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074 or to Stephens Staff Education Fund, Kendal at Oberlin, 600 Kendal Drive, Oberlin, OH 44074.
