Frances M. Caudill (nee: Preast), 76 of Elyria died November 18, 2016 in her home. She was born November 16, 1940 in Pemberton, Raleigh County, West Virginia, moving to Elyria in 1968. She had also lived in Jacksonville and Ponte Verda Beach, Florida before returning to Elyria. Frances is survived by daughters, Melinda Barden of Ashland, Tina Miller of Cincinnati and Pennie Tremaine and Joyce Caudill both of Elyria; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; brothers, Robert, David and Jerry Preast and a sister, Alberta Petros.She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Caudill in 2006; parents, Jennings and Elsie (nee: Skaggs) Preast; brothers, Jack and George Preast and sisters, Betty Dancy, Mina McCoy and Helen Durham.Friends will be received Monday November 21, 2016 from noon until the time of a 1:00 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Christopher D. Robinson, Chaplin at Mercy New Life Hospice will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to to the family in care of the funeral home.
