Freddie H. Greg Gregory, Jr., 76, of Elyria, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, December 5, 2013.He was born September 2, 1938 in Gilmore County, WV and has lived most of his life in Elyria. He was employed by Elyria City Schools, then for 25 years with Ford Motor Company, Brookpark and the Cleveland Ford Foundry, retiring in 1995. After retirement, he worked at Papa Johns Pizza. He enjoyed metal detecting, auctions, spending time with his children, grandkids and great grandkids and was a huge fan of Johnny Cash.Greg is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda (nee Baisden); son Joseph (Nichole) Gregory; daughters Aleathia Milks and Stacie Fitz, all of Elyria; Tonya (Jerry) Davis of KY and Shona (David) Sexton of TN; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers Jim Gregory of New London, Larry and David Gregory, both of KY, Earl Gregory of Oberlin, Phillip Gregory of Vermilion; sisters Evelyn Crofoot and Kathy Franklin, both of Vermilion, Betty Clark of Elyria and Joyce Elkins of WV.He was preceded in death by daughter Erin Christian; granddaughter Erin; sister Peggy Elkin; brother Thomas Gregory, Sr.; parents Freddie Sr. and Georgia Gregory and son-in-law Kit Milks.Friends will be received Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria where a funeral service will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Reverends Edwin Gore, pastor of Lowell Street Baptist and Reverend Andrea Hall will officiate.
