It was always fun to hang out with Gary at camp. You could count on him to make you laugh! He was easy-going, fun-loving, made you feel good kind of guy. Sorry we couldn't spend more time with you. We'll miss you!
Sending My Condolences and Praying for the Kalapos Family during this difficult time.
Dear Karen and Family, We are saddened to lose one of our best friends, Gary. We have so many memories to share. I (Linda) knew Gary from the Spring Valley neighborhood. He was always driving his Vespa motor scooter up and down Berkeley Drive. This was before Jack came on the scene. When Elyria built the bypass linking East and West side of town the west side guys drove up and down Berkeley Drive in their cars. This brought Jack and Dale Kratchen to Berkeley Drive because Jim Michaels lived down at the end of the cul-de-sac. They worked on cars in his garage. So they had to drive by my house. Then we were all at Elyria High School together as well as working at the A&P on Abbe Road. Karen do you remember the shack? This is where I (Linda) met you. Then Jack and Gary graduated and went off to Ohio State together. They were roommates!! Who knows what trouble they got into!! So fast forward to getting married and having kids. We were visiting you and Gary at your home on Abbe Road with our kids on bikes. Son Scott didn't want to leave and caused us to upset the bicycle by getting his foot caught in the spokes. I think we ended up in the emergency room. Lots of beer and Budweiser Steins were purchased at the carry out. Then all the FUN class reunions getting the old gang together. They won't be the same without Gary. Wish we could be at the Celebration of Life next Wednesday, but we don't travel very well any more. Let everyone know we are thinking of you and miss you. Love' Jack and Linda
