Gary Kalapos Obituary
Gary L. Kalapos, 79, of Wakeman, Ohio passed away Tuesday May 17, 2022 in Port St Lucie, Florida surrounded by family. He was born May 5, 1943 in Lorain and was a 1961 graduate of Elyria High School. Gary owned and operated Abbe Drive Thru Beverage and North Abbe Plaza for over 40 years until retiring to winter in Florida. He enjoyed spending time entertaining with family & friends. Gary liked to travel, listen to live music with his wife, and spend the winters in Florida. He will be remembered with love & laughter long after his passing. Gary leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 58 years, Karen M. (nee Nally); daughters Kim (Ralph Colling), Kristin, Kerri; and son Steven (Fatima). He was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his sister Gail Cataldo; and parents Lois and Louis Kalapos.
