George W. “Bill” RugglesGeorge W. “Bill” Ruggles, 72, died, July 8, 2020 at his home in Las Vegas, NV. He was a former resident of Elyria and also Palmdale, CA. Bill was born December 24, 1947 in Akron, Ohio and was a 1966 graduate of Elyria High School. He was formerly employed at Target Stores and had also been a caregiver. Throughout his life he was an avid bowler. Bill is survived by his former wife and companion, Pat Ruggles; daughter, Lisa (Allen) Rogers of Elyria; sons, Christopher (Jennifer) Ruggles of Elyria, Alan (Rhonda) Ruggles of Grafton; sister, Cheryl (Richard) Novak of Elyria; brothers, Charles Ruggles of Elyria, Robert Ruggles of New London and John (Beth) Ruggles; half-sister, Carol Ann (Don) Hosier; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death his parents, Elmer and Wilma Ruggles and a brother, Gene Ruggles. A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday July 28, 2020 at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Reverend W. Kent Joy, Pastor of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
