George Jones Obituary
George “Frank” Jones, 78, of Elyria, died January 22, 2023 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a 2-year illness. He was born August 31, 1944 in Charleston, WV and has been an Elyria resident most of his life. For 25 years, George was employed at Invacare in Elyria. His interests included hunting, fishing and gardening. George is survived by a daughter, Christine Jones; former wife, Susan McIntyre, both of Elyria; sisters, Glenna Wright of Vermilion and Ruth Boone of Grafton; brother, Fred Jones of Mansfield; grandsons, Logan Snuffer, Baron Jones and Jacob Taylor and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Audra Jones and a brother, Farris Jones. Friends will be received Monday, February 6, 2023 from 5:00 pm until the time of a 6:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Rick Young of Liberty Baptist Church will officiate.
