Gerald Whitfield Gaddie, Sr., 54, of Jacksonville, NC, died October 28, 2020. He was born June 3, 1966 and had also resided in Ohio and Washington D.C. For the past 5 years, Gerald was a correction officer at North Coast Correctional Treatment Facility. He was also an Uber and Lyft driver and enjoyed fishing. Gerald is survived by his wife, Pamela; son, Gerald Gaddie, Jr.; daughters, Samantha Nieto and Geralvonna Gaddie; grandchildren, CJ and Peyton; brothers, Jerry Martin, Wendall Gaddie, Richard McGhee, Donald Gilliam-Gaddie, Donzell Gilliam, Eramis Gaddie and Daramus Cannon Gaddie and sisters, Mearl Martin, Angela Martin, Kimberly Gaddie, Bonnie Gaddie, Hananiah Gaddie, Codshe´ Gaddie and Efrain Gaddie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Ethel Gaddie; grandparents, Nathaniel Sr. and Henrietta Johnson; and brothers, Marcus Martin and Kevin Gaddie. Friends will be received Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:00 noon service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria with Reverend John R. Jackson officiating.
