Geraldine Latvala Obituary
Geraldine M. “Gerry” Latvala (nee Manzo), 78, a lifelong Elyria resident, died January 13, 2022 at Cardinal Court, Strongsville. She was born March 10, 1943 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. Gerry worked at the telephone company as an operator until marrying and raising her own family in Elyria and Grafton. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church and was devoted to her children. Gerry loved all children, especially the little ones and was an animal lover of many adopted pets. Gerry is survived by daughters, Laura (John) Patrick of Elyria and Karen (Jeffrey) White of Philadelphia, PA; son, Mark (Shannon) Latvala of Germantown, OH; grandchildren, Amanda White and Joseph Latvala; and a brother, Charles Manzo of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. in 2007; and parents, Frank A. and Geraldine (nee Daney) Manzo. A graveside service for the family will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
