Gertrude Rodachy Obituary
Gertrude Rodachy (nee: Vargo) 90, of Elyria, died Thursday April 5, 2012 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born January 25, 1922 in LaGrange and had been a resident of Elyria most of her life. She was formerly employed at Forest Hills Golf Course and by Lorain County Metro Parks. Her interests included collecting antiques, baking and sewing. Gertrude is survived by her husband of 70 years, George R. Rodachy; daughter, Patricia A. (Blaine) Naylor of Elyria; son, Randolph G. Rodachy of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Kevin (Molly) Naylor, Victor (Sheila) Naylor and Tammy (Robert) Gunderman and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Vargo; brothers, William and Andrew Vargo Jr.; sisters, Margaret Slosier and Mary Koncar. A funeral service will be Monday 11:00 AM April 9, 2012 at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Jonathan McCleery will officiate with burial in Brookdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland 44106.
