Gladys N. Wheeler 93, of Elyria died July 17, 2014 at The Abbewood in Elyria. She was born January 13, 1921 in Vermilion, Ohio. She graduated from Vermilion High School and attended Oberlin Business College. For many years Gladys was employed as a secretary in the Keystone Local Schools. She enjoyed reading and working in the yard at her home. Gladys is survived by daughters, Dianne C. (Paul) Schultz of Oberlin and Sharon L. (Dane) Adams of Wellington; grandchildren, Matthew and Kimberly Schultz and Amy (Joel) Denger and Todd (Krystee) Adams; great grandchildren, Natalie, Holly and Andrew Schultz, Drew Denger and Ezra and Zeke Adams.She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Wheeler in 1998 and two brothers and one sister.A graveside service will be Saturday July 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria with Reverend Alana Kelley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 2500 East 22nd Street, Cleveland 44115-3204. Dicken Funeral Home, Elyria is in charge of arrangements.
