Glenn Burnett Obituary
Glenn E. Burnett, 73, of Elyria, died, unexpectedly January 6, 2022 at University Hospitals, Cleveland. He was born April 8, 1948 in Elyria and was a 1966 graduate of Elyria High School where he was a varsity wrestler. From 1968 until retiring in 2000 Glenn was employed at General Motors. Glenn enjoyed his rescued dog companions, bird and wildlife watching and the great outdoors. He was an avid fan of Ohio State football and high school wrestling. Not only was Glenn a spectator, but he also participated in league racquetball, tennis, wrestling, bicycling and pickleball throughout the course of his life. He will be deeply missed. Glenn was a dedicated husband to his wife, Kathy (nee Gallagher) whom he married February 10, 1968 and a loving father to his daughters, Kelly (Pat) Santarelli of Cape Coral, FL and Tracy Burnett of Lakewood, OH and is also survived by a sister, Sandra Sanders of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lucille Burnett and a brother, Ron. Friends will be received Thursday January 13, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Out of respect for guests, facemasks are required.
