Grace Pinter Obituary
Grace Lillian Pinter (nee Schilling), 84, of Elyria, passed forward February 24, 2017 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. Grace was born August 6, 1932 in Cleveland, OH and was a 1950 graduate of Elyria High School. In 1952, she received a junior degree from the University of Wisconsin. Grace had been both a substitute teacher and realtor in Elyria. She had dedicated her life to the service of others as evidenced by her membership and service as Past President of University Hospitals Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Board and also as a member of Elyria Service League, Lorain County Historical Society and Thyme for Friends Herb Club. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Elyria Country Club and Elyria United Polish Club. Grace lived life to the fullest with interests that included bridge, golf, crafts, the arts and spending winters in Florida. Grace was a loving devoted wife and mother and is survived by her children, Peter (Patricia) Pinter of Boca Raton, FL, Clay (Debbie) Pinter and Wade (Kitty) Pinter, both of Elyria and daughter Rachel (John) Pappas of Ottawa Hills, OH; grandchildren Danielle and Dana Pinter, Camille and Charlie Pinter and Johnathan, Andrea and Blake Pappas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Rudolph “Dugo” Pinter in 2012; parents Theodore “Pete” and Grace Schilling and step mother, Betty Schilling.Grace’s family thanks each and every one of her dear friends for the heartfelt outpouring of kindness, concern and love shown to their mother in her final months. Also,they give a special acknowledgement for the care and devotion given to Grace and her family by the Hospice of the Western Reserve. A committal service for the family will be Friday, March 3, 2017 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. Reverend Paul E. Jaster will officiate.
