Grace Marcella Poling, 96, formerly of Grafton, went to join God, her beloved husband and sons September 19, 2015.Grace had lived a long, blessed life, and was loved deeply by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandsons, and many family and friends. She was born February 10, 1919 in Hocking County, Ohio, was a 1935 graduate of Ilesboro High School and lived in Lorain County, Ohio following her marriage in 1942. For the last years of her life, Grace joined her son Mike and his family in Fairfax, Virginia. Grace was a typist at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH and was then employed for 30 years by Peter Naughton, Certified Public Account in Elyria. Grace was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Stone City Chapter #325 Order of the Eastern Star, Amherst. She was a member of LaPorte United Methodist Church, Elyria Womans Club, Elizabeth Stevens Society, Lorain County Musical Arts Society and a Past President of Garford School P.T.A. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, baking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.She is survived by grandsons Adam Harrison Poling and Taylor Allen Poling, daughters-in-law Jan Poling and Carole Poling Jones and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Pearl Dale Poling in 2001, sons Robert Douglas Poling in 1996 and Michael Alan Poling in 2014, parents Arch and Melva Griffith, brother Vance Griffith and a sister Ruth Redick.Friends will be received Friday, September 25, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035 where Stone City Chapter #325 O.E.S. will conduct a service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Reverend William R. Wendell and Reverend Larry D. Poling will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
