Grace Swecker (nee Fisher), 76, of Elyria, died June 10, 2014 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a brief illness.Grace was born March 26, 1938 in Dailey, WV. She graduated from Tygarts Valley High School, Mill Creek, WV, where she met her future husband Jennings. They were married December 6, 1958 and moved to Elyria in 1961.She was formerly employed by The Chronicle Telegram for 17 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, following Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns sports, solving puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her grandsons.Grace is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jennings R. Swecker; grandsons Drew and Logan Swecker; daughter-in-law Kim Swecker (nee Bessick) of Elyria; sisters Edna (Pete) Barrick and Judy (Pat) Rametta, both of Florida and Ileda (Marty) Monahan of PA; brothers Harold (Charlotte) Fisher, Bob (Jean) Fisher, both of Canton; sisters-in-law Dorothy and Linda Fisher, both of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her son Anthony L. Swecker in 2004; brothers Howard, Daniel Billie Jo, and Arnett and sisters Martha Rose, Frances and Jan.Friends will be received Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O.
