Greg Gnizak, 23, of Elyria, died at his home Saturday, February 23, 2013.He was born May 25, 1989 in Elyria, was a 2007 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and attended Lorain County Community College.Greg was employed at Spitzer Auto in Amherst. His interests included cars, music, playing his guitar and building computers. He enjoyed studying the solar system and manned space exploration and spending time with his nephew and niece.Greg is the beloved son of David and Peggy Gnizak and brother of Stephanie (Jason) Shoemaker of Cuyahoga Falls. He was a devoted uncle to his nephew Luke and niece Reagan and grandson of Julia Krupka and nephew of Nancy Gnizak, both of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Floyd Krupka and Paternal Grandparents Peter and Mary Gnizak.A memorial service will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m. March 9, 2013 at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria. Reverend Mr. Patrick J. Humphrey, Deacon will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Blessing House, 4550 Grove Ave., Lorain, OH 44055 or a charity of the donors choice.Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria is handling arrangements.
