Gregory A. Diederich, 59, a lifelong resident of Elyria, died unexpectedly January 24, 2017 at his home. He was born November 12, 1957 in Elyria and attended Elyria High School. Greg worked in construction, alongside his father for Elbert Construction Company. He enjoyed drag racing and working on cars, especially his own dragster. Greg is survived by his daughters; Mindy L. (Roger) Miller and Mandy M. Diederich, both of Elyria and son Jeff A. (Corinna) Diederich of LaGrange; grandsons Austin, Jacob and Kyle and granddaughter, Karissa; father, George Diederich of Elyria; sisters Glenda Frabotta of Lorain, Bonnie (Joseph) Dennis, Ginger (Mark) Sherrill and Gayle (John) Rhodes, all of Elyria and a brother, Geoffrey (Geri) Diederich of Amherst. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelda Diederich in 2004 and brother, Gary Diederich in 2011. A celebration of life service will be Friday, February 24, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Elyria Eagles Club #431, 1255 Lowell St., Elyria. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family to help with expenses. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria.
