My father, Arnold Bigler, worked for Joe for many years at Elyria Auto Parts. I remember Joe’s smile and kind demeanor. Years after my dad’s death in 2008, Joe found me on Facebook, and inquired after my sister Jan as well. I was surprised and happy he remembered us after so many years.One of the funniest things I remember him saying was referring to his wife of 67 years, Joann, as his “first wife.” She was certainly first in his eyes. He was very devoted to her, particularly during her illness toward the end of her life. They were an inspiration!
