Helen L. Zifcak (nee Donaldson), 88, of Elyria, died February 9, 2021 at Wesleyan Village. She was born June 7, 1932 in North Smithfield, Rhode Island and was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, RI moving to Elyria in 1965. Helen was a graduate of Elyria Academy of Cosmetology and had been employed at Guys N Dolls Beauty Salon in Elyria. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and active in First Church Women. She enjoyed Broadway musicals and playing bridge. Helen is survived by sons, Mark (Laura) Zifcak and Eric (Stacy) Zifcak, both of Elyria and Carl (Tammy) Zifcak of Pittsfield Township; grandchildren, Taylor (Joe) Russo, Brent Zifcak, Chloe and Brock Zifcak, Matthew (Tiffany) Zifcak, Brian Myers and Elizabeth (Tucker) Jones; seven great-grandchildren; nephew, Greg Zifcak and niece, Beth Burner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Stephen A. in 2017; parents, Stephen and Louise Donaldson; brother, James Donaldson; and a sister, Mildred Blumenfield. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of a noon service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Patrick Nicolino will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Covid-19 precautions will be observed, face masks are required.
