Henry H. Frosty Allemeier, 92, of Elyria and formerly of Grafton, died October 7, 2014 at Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.He was born April 7, 1942 in Dorset, OH.During World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Medical Corps stationed in Germany, France, Belgium and Czechoslovakia. From 1956 to 1964, Frosty was the owner of Allemeier Business Machines in Lorain and was then employed for twelve years as a machinist at U.S. Steel in Lorain, retiring in 1976.After retiring, he and his wife lived in Belleview, FL for 18 years before moving to Elyria in 2006. He was a member of LaPorte United Methodist Church.Henry is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty J. (nee Evans); daughters Linda (Kurt) Hanaway of Bluffton, SC and Joyce Hogan of Elyria; son John (Judy) Allemeier of Sullivan, OH; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Opel in 2010; granddaughter Ronda Hogan in 1977; brothers Cyril and Forest Allemeier; sister Marie Williams and parents John and Estelle Allemeier.Burial will be in LaPorte Cemetery, Carlisle Township.
