Henry Hank Williams, Jr., 70, passed away August 24, 2016 at Oakwood Village in Springfield, Ohio.He was born Valentine Day, 1946 in Elyria, where he was known as Bub. Henry attended Elyria City Schools and in 1980, made Springfield his home.For over a decade, he was employed at Wittenberg University, where several times he received the prestigious Outstanding Worker award.Henry was an accomplished photographer, poet and painter and was known to capture a Kodak Moment.He enjoyed family events, horseback riding and listening to a variety of music. While residing in Springfield, he continued to be a loyal Cleveland sports fan. Henry also took time to listen to T.D. Jakes Ministry.Henry will be fondly missed by sisters, Florida Dickerson and Yvonne Y. (Joe Lynch) Williams, both of Elyria, brothers, Craig Williams (Denise) of Xenia, Ohio, LeRoy E. Williams (Rosie) and Larry Balls (Regina), both of Elyria; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruby Williams; sisters Charlene Curry in 2001, Patricia Patty Anne Stiles in 2009 and Audrey Williams-Porter in 2012 and a brother, John E. Williams in 2010.Friends will be received Friday, September 9, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of a noon service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria with his nephew, Elder Stan Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
