Hilma Joyce Farmer (nee Bennett), 90, of Elyria, died December 29, 2021. She was born March 24, 1931 in Elyria, was a 1948 graduate of Elyria High School and graduated from Oberlin Business College. She had been employed at Couch-Uthe Company in Elyria and retired as sales manager from LaGrange Screw Products. Hilma enjoyed golfing, traveling, sewing and knitting and was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church and Oberlin Golf Club. Hilma is survived by a daughter, Susan J. Tressel of Elyria; son, William (Jill Hough) A. Farmer of Lakewood Ranch, FL; grandchildren, Shawn, Rebecca, Molly, Amanda, Jennifer, Julie and Brittany; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. in 2002; parents, Russell and Ranghild Bennett; brother, William Bennett and a sister, Lila Ehlke. A private burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
