Ian Young Obituary
Ian Young, 42, of Elyria, died at his home December 14, 2014 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was born May 27, 1972 in Elyria, where he was a 1990 graduate of Elyria High School. For fifteen years, Ian has been a journeyman electrician with I.B.E.W. #129. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter Chelsea. Some of his other interests included sports, riding his motorcycle and playing video games. Ian is survived by his wife, Jodi Young (nee Domer); daughter Chelsea Young; father Steve Young; stepfather Dave Allen and grandmothers Mary DeDe Harmon and Billie Mae Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathyanne Allen and grandfathers Charles T. Cap Keyser and Earl Young. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Body, Mind and Spirit at Mercy Cancer Center, 41201 Schaden Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
